Students can earn SOAR coupons for positive behavior at school.  These special coupons can be used throughout the year for special events, raffles, and spirit days.  If students are having a difficult time following the SOAR expectations at school a referral may be sent home. A referral is a communication tool between school and home.

CLASSROOM STORE

Along with being able to earn SOAR coupons, we will also have a classroom store where students can earn tickets. Twice a month students get to use the tickets that they have earned to shop at our classroom store.

Students can earn tickets for:

  • helping others
  • participating
  • working hard
  • going above and beyond on an assignment

Students lose tickets for:

  • bullying
  • disrespect
  • missing homework
  • off task
  • talking out of turn
  • being unprepared

HOMEWORK POLICY

The purpose of homework is to reinforce or practice the skills that were taught in class.  It is the responsibility of each student to complete and return homework daily. It is your child’s responsibility to write his/ her assignments in their assignment notebook.  If an assignment is not turned in, a missing homework notice will be sent home. This notice is a communication tool.  After multiple missing assignments, a referral will be sent home.  Students may lose free time if their work is not completed. Homework will be written on our whiteboards in the classroom and also the classroom website.
