2016 Summer Programming in District 59
District 59 is pleased to be able to provide a variety of summer program options for 2016, building on the successes of summer programming in 2015 that featured expanded choice offerings and student participation. This year, the five week summer program will begin on June 13 and run through July 14. Sessions will be held Monday through Thursday and will be morning sessions.

Programs Offered
- Summer Quest – Literacy and STEM focus
- For students in grades K-7 who are individually selected and invited by school. Fee information will be included in the registration packets.
- Instrumental Music Camp $120
- For students in grades 5-7 who are enrolled in instrumental music
Program runs only June 13 – June 30
- For students in grades 5-7 who are enrolled in instrumental music
- Advanced Math $190
- For students in grade 5 who are invited based on selection criteria
- Extended School Year (ESY)
- For students whose IEP includes Extended School Year – No fee required
- For students in Instructional Programs who are invited based on selection criteria the fee is $30
- ESY for Early Childhood will take place on Aug 8-11 & Aug 15-18
- NEW THIS YEAR
- Summer Quest will also have a tuition based open enrollment option and registration will be available starting on May 2, 2016 on a first come first serve basis. $190

- Juliette Low – Summer Quest for students in grades K-4 from Juliette Low, Forest View, and John Jay
- Robert Frost – Summer Quest for students in grades K-4 from Robert Frost, Devonshire, and Brentwood
- Rupley – Extended School Year for K-5 and Summer Quest for students in grades K-4 from Rupley, Byrd, Clearmont, and Salt Creek
- ELC – Extended School Year for Pre K students

Registration Information
- Summer Quest – Literacy and STEM focus
- Registration forms were sent from school and are due by by April 28, 2016
- Tuition based open enrollment will take place May 2 – May 9 for any open slots
- Instrumental Music Camp
- Registration forms were sent by Instrumental Music teachers and are due back by May 9
- Advanced Math
- Registration forms were sent to eligible students
- Extended School Year – Elementary
- Registration forms were sent to eligible and invited students and are due back by Wednesday, May 11
- Transportation request forms should be sent back with registration forms
- Extended School Year – Early Childhood
- Registration forms were sent to eligible students and are due back by Monday April 25
- Transportation request forms should be sent back with registration forms
